Hi everyone, this is my first tab, so sorry if there is some mistakes.
I saw Porco Rosso by Studio Ghibli and I love this track composed by Joe Hisaishi.
Then I listened to an english version of the song on youtube (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpvJySCN9j8 ) by Helen Edgeworth and I wanted to
play and sing it by myself, but
there weren't no tab. I don't think it's the same as the original, I´ve transcribed
most of it by ear.

Intro

A D A Bm E C#m F#m D E

          A E F#m C#m
Once in a while, when you have time, let’s talk of days that have gone by,

            D A Bm E
At the old café where you and I used to go.

             A E
Look at the trees, losing their leaves;

            F#m C#m
Summer will fade, and so will we

           D A Bm E
But I won’t forget all of the memories that we made.

      F#m C#m
We’d spend our days at the café,

            D C#m
Watching the world, seeing it change,

               D A
“We’ll stay the same,” we used to say,

          Bm E
We used to say.

          D E
Back when we had dreams and hopes,

            C#m F#m
Life didn’t seem such an uphill slope,

    D Bm E
How much there was that we still didn’t know.

           A
Isn’t that so?

A D A Bm E C#m F#m D E

           A E F#m C#m
Out on the road, nowhere to go, you were the place that I called home,

             D A Bm E
Because with you, I knew I’d never be alone.

           A E
People move on, soon they are gone,

          F#m C#m
But I was sure that you were the one

            D A Bm E
Who’d never leave; who’d’ve believed I’d be so wrong?

         F#m C#m
You went away, I chose to stay,

          D C#m
Now not a trace of you remains

              D A
Except for the picture of your face

    Bm E
You tried to erase.

    D E
You took all my dreams and hopes,

        C#m F#m
And now life’s just an uphill slope,

      D Bm E
But I know that I must try to cope on my own.

          A
Isn’t that so?

A B C#m A A F#m D E

          A E F#m C#m
Once in a while, when you have time, let’s talk of days that have gone by,

           D A Bm E
At the old café where you and I used to go.

           A E
All of the trees have lost their leaves,

          F#m C#m
Summer has faded just like me;

            D A Bm E
I’ll always regret the memories that we never made.

            F#m C#m
My body has aged, my hair has turned grey,

              D C#m
But something inside has still stayed the same,

                  D A
“I love you,” I’d say, and that hasn’t changed,

Bm E
That will not change.

        D E
When my life gets too much to bear,

        C#m F#m
And I am weighed down by despair,

  D Bm E
I try to tell myself that you still care,

             A
Somewhere out there.

A D A Bm E A .
