George Alexander and The Mellomen
El Dorado (1966)
(Nelson Riddle/J. Gabriel)

A moving western song from a great Howard Hawks movie ("El Dorado", 1966). This is a reading of the movie version. The song starts in the key of B and then goes up one half step after every verse. This makes for some difficult chords and a lot of barree. If you wnat to avoid that and just play the song easily, I added a second version which is in C throughout. Enjoy! If you like the tab, don't forget to vote. If you don't, leave a comment so I can improve it. Thank you very much! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- VERSION 1 (original key with key changes) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTRO | B | G#m | B | G#m | VERSE B G#m C#m7 B Through sunshine and shadow, from darkness till noon B D#m C#m Emaj7 Over mountains that reach from the sky to the moon C#m D#m Emaj7 G-5 A man with a dream that will never let go B/F# E/F# | B | G#m | Keeps searching to find El Dorado CHORUS B D#m C#m D#m So ride, boldly ride, to the end of the rainbow Emaj7 D#m C#m7 E/F# | B | G#m | C | Am | Ride, boldly ride, till you find El Do-rado VERSE C Am Dm C The wind becomes bitter, the sky turns to grey C Em Dm Fmaj7 (?)
